The project concerns the renovation of a villa, which was originally built in 1940, situated on a hill in Gardone Riviera along the scenic route on the banks of the Garda Lake, Brescian coast.
The project aims, as for the outdoor areas, the restoration and enhancement of the original structure which has been lost over the years due to repeated interventions of the previous owners and to a number of operations in the park for the enhancement of the arboreal landscape, (such as the felling of high stem trees which were inclined both towards the house and the road due to the neglected condition of the soil, causing a clear danger, and the subsequent planting of new woods: cypress, palms, laurels, jasmine, pine, etc.. in order to consolidate the ground and redraw the elegance of the garden.
The villa, a building on three floors with a total of approx. 300 square meters with a panoramic view over the Garda Lake, has been totally restored both in the distribution system and in the plants and finishes.
Even on the inner actions, the main intention was to set free from any superstructure and superfetation the classic original structure, characterized by extreme simplicity of composition and distribution, with essential materials, and a rigorous play of colors that constantly fluctuates between black and white.
This dichotomy has been strongly recovered and reinforced by the use of white walls and Brazilian absolute black marble elements, which define a rigid color, delicately handled only by the polychrome objects of the two owners, collectors, looking for a recreational but carefully studied aspect.
